I have just ordered a motherboard (Z87-D3HP) with following fan connectors:
1 x CPU fan header
3 x system fan headers
1 x CPU_OPT fan header
i am quite a novice when it comes to this but currently have 1 CPU fan and 2 Chassis Fans.
I was thinking of buying two additional chassis fans.
My questions are:
Can I connect a chassis fan to the CPU_OPT connector ? if not what is the intention for this connector ?
Should I purchase PWM fans or not bother because there is no advantage as the Motherboard\software will control them ?
