TPM issue after UEFI BIOS update (Z68)

Hey guys, I've been looking all over the interwebs but I seem to have a rare problem.

About a week ago I had to update my BIOS, from a much older version (<F7 I believe) to the latest UEFI version, U1E. My problem is I can no longer access my encrypted external drive (BitLocker). When I go to the BitLocker menu in it says it cannot recognize any TPM 1.2 and I that I should check to make sure it's enabled in BIOS. I look in BIOS but I don't see any option for TPM. I understand SmartTPM was removed but I never used that feature anyways.

I do still have the encryption key saved in a text file on another drive. Can anybody help me figure this out? A subtle setting somewhere perhaps? Or any other way I could decrypt my drive?

mobo: GA-Z68X-UD4-B3 (BIOS version U1E)
CPU: i5 2500k
OS: Win7 Ultimate

First mistake you made was going with the U1E. I have read more people having problems with that bios. I would have gone with the F10.

(When updating from legacy to UEFI, use only the utility attached to your BIOS file)


(Note) Some GIGABYTE utilities are not supported under UEFI BIOS architecture.

Please remove Smart6, Dynamic Energy Saver, Smart TPM, and Touch BIOS utilities before updating the BIOS.

Oh god dammit. Well would it be alright if I flash it back to an older BIOS?

You should be able with no problems. But here is a link to Tweaktown and in there ask them. I have never flash back from a UEFI bios to a Legacy bios.
