NEW TABLETS!!! PEOPLE!!!

And boy they are great. For the most part. I'm getting the S10M.

They kept the same S1082 styling and just dropped a BayTrail chip into it. The beauty of it however (and this is why I love Gigabyte) rather an use the Z3770 which is limited to eMMC memory, they went with the Celeron N2805 which has the HD4000 graphics, sata and PCI Express connectivity. The disadvantages however is single channel memory, it is a dual core rather than a quad core like the Z37xx Baytrails and lastly the resolution;  :-[ 1366x768. Which is ok, I guess for a 10.1 inch screen.

Check out the options and you'll see mSATA or 2.5" 7mm SSDs as the storage options.

Wallet come!!!

I spoke to a rep for a company in the UK a couple minutes ago and he indicated that they should receive the S10M at the end of this month, with the release set for mid February.

I was looking at some benchmarks and processor technologies over the past couple days and found that there is an N2806 processor, that is the exact same at the N2805 gigabyte is using. Its just faster; 1.6Ghz base and turbo to 2.0Ghz vs 1.46Ghz base with no turbo. The GPU runs at 756Mhz vs 667Mhz in the N2805. The only drawback is that is draws 4.5 watts; 0.2 watts higher than the N2805. So why is gigabyte using the obviously slower chip at virtually no expense?

I wish I knew?
