Understand your frustration,i felt the same way,you would think there would be something in the motherboard manual that tells you to use a ps2 keyboard. I spent hours trying to work it out.....

Maybe that is why they still have a Ps2 port on the MB. I don't understand why these MB companies haven't perfected it yet.

I work on a lot of computers and the ones that work are your Prebuild models. Like Dell, HP, & Acer and so on. A lot of them don't have a Ps2 port.

The other thing is some of these MB companies are building boards for them too.   ???

Up until my last 2 builds i bought dell computers, but in the last couple of years they don't offer very much in terms of customization as they used to,even alienware desktop pc are somewhat ordinary too. I still think though that there should be some sort of mention in the motherboard manual that states that they recommend using a ps2 keyboard for initial setup. I wonder how many RMA'S they get because of this issue? Could potentially save Gigabyte a lot of money and their customers a great deal of frustration. Win Win i think. Even the issue i had because i wanted to install 1 extra hard drive was frustrating but that maybe because the bios is a beta version.
