GA-Z87X-OC Force - Water Cooling Question
« on: January 15, 2014, 06:11:09 pm »
I am ready to buy but have one question to clear up...
WATER COOLING...
The User Manual (Page 15) shows a Waterblock / fan assembly for the CPU...
BUT I do not see anywhere the details for the water cooling of the POWER Socket...
I see some pics with a FAN and Water Ports (advertisements) and some pic without (user manual)...

Can someone please clarify what is needed / expected here...
I plan on using a Corsair H100i for CPU Cooling...
Thanks in advance...

Thanks for the quick response...and the pic....
I see on your config there are no cooling ports on the MB...
That is hopefully what I will see...

BTW... Did getting your build up and running present any issues...?
Any suggestions (do's and don'ts) are appreciated...

Thanks again...

hey

Don't have  issues with the H100i
but when i booted for the first time i had  issues with the gpu didn work so the screen was black
tryed about everything and after about 4 hours bingo it worked
but stil havind some  issues right now
pc is running and all of a sudden restarts or give a blue screen ,sometimes if i use sleepmode and i want to wake it up it starts up but the screen stays black
it was a clean install of W7 Ultimate
all drivers are up to date
been thinking its the wrong choise to use kingston memory ore its my ssd thats start to fail
been checking my ssd (corsair force 3 ) with the corsair ssd toolbox and there are no errors displayed
i did see with the use of gigabyte EZ setup that it shows my ssd but its says WARNING : SSD DRIVE NOT DETECTED ??
did try to change my memory speed to 1333 than 1600 ,1866,2000,2400 but still the same
Bios is updated to F6
sometimes i see lines comming up to the screen  so maybe its my gpu thats giving problems its a Gigabyte GTX680 4Gb OC

HHhhhmmmm....
not sure what to suggest, but sounds like you have a couple of areas to check/watch closely...

I'm going with a SSD Corsair Neutron...
EVGA GeForce GTX 780 3gb Video Card...
Corsair Vengeance 16gb (2x8gb) DDR3-1866... Gigabyte site indicates compatibility...

I hoping for a clean installation...

I'm assuming you DO NOT need the extra cooling... wouldn't really want to install a second cooling system...
Thanks for the input...
