Is there a BIOS update that allows for SLAT/EPT to be enabled?

I have revision 1.0 updated to BIOS F4.

I am running Windows Server 2012 R2 with all the updates applied and the drivers at their latest.

What I have found so far is if I run SysInternal's coreinfo before installing the Hyper-V role, VMX and EPT are indeed present.  The minute the Hyper-V role is installed, it is absent.

From reading the documentation, which I had to do a bit of digging for, it seems that having Hyper-V installed can cause coreinfo to glitch.

I have done some reading on this too. There is a lot of grey area's with it. You think that it would be easy to setup.

It has out for a few years too. The one reason I ask about the OS is that it is really only for windows Server.

You have people out there would have tried it on Win 7. You could use it maybe on windows 8 but why.

You might have already read this but at the bottom there are links for help info.
