I've just built a new system with GA-Z87X-UD4H motherboard, i5-4670 processor and 8GB DDR3 1600 memory.
I left all the BIOS setting untouched apart from configuring the hard disks for RAID 1.
I installed Windows 7, installed the motherboard driver, installed AV software, then went online to get all the windows updates (with associated reboots).
Then I noticed that I had forgotten to install the Gigabyte App Centre, so I installed this and tried to run it. It told me there were updates so I let it get these.
Once it had updated and run I clicked on Easy Tune and the system immediately shut down and refused to restart.
When I power up the system the processor fan spins and the LED debug display on the motherboard displays the number 8. It sits there like this for 17 seconds then shuts down, restart automatically after 5 seconds, shuts down after another 17 seconds and so on.
I don't get the usual start up beep from the speaker and there is no video output.
I have tried both the main and backup BIOS in both single and dual BIOS mode - no change.
I have tried clearing the CMOS - no change.
I have checked that the power supply is delivering all the right voltages to the board.
It's all on its way back to ebuyer under RMA, but I'd still like to know what happened and more importantly what I need to do to make sure it doesn't happen again with the replacement.
Any Suggestions?
Thanks,
Martin Wiseman.
