F2A88XM-DS2/HD3: How good is the VRM ?
« on: March 04, 2014, 03:10:59 pm »
Hello!

I'm planning to upgrade my rig, for me these two motherboards offering great features for their price.
But I'm a little "affraid" to buy those for an A10 6800K APU, because the VRM is only 3+2 phase without heatsink.
Does somebody have this or any other "K" APU and can check the temperature of the VRM MOSFETS when the CPU is under heavy load?
Or a picture from the VRM area where I can see the part number of the MOSFTET transistors.

You should buy a board that really feels like being able to run what you need.
It s more than the mosfet current capability ,the BIOS and LLC capability/response time is also to be considered .

Over & Out !

AMD FX (APU-s included) users should install - KB2645594 & KB2646060 under Windows 7

1.ASUS Sabertooth 990FX 2.0 + FX 6300 + H60
2.MSI A88X-G41 PC Mate + A8 5600K + Hyper TX 2
3.Gigabyte F2A75-D3H + A4 5300
4.ASUS AM1M-A + Athlon 5150

That's why I'm asking, the official info shows that ALL FM2+ CPUs are supported, that means the VRM can handle 100W TDP CPUs, however I'm not so sure about that...
