GTX 750 Ti won't boot

GTX 750 Ti won't boot
« on: May 16, 2014, 08:06:05 pm »
System Specs:

CPU: Intel G2020
PSU: Corsair CX 600W
MOBO: Gigabyte GA-H61M-DS2 (r2.2)
BIOS: F7
RAM: 2 X 4GB Corsair DDR3
Old GPU: Onboard
New GPU: Gigabyte GTX 750 Ti 2GB

Installing a new GTX 750 Ti in to the system above, no boot after installation. Sytem fans all kick in but BIOS doesn't load. System boots as normal when video card removed. All other components tested ok, system assembled static free.

Dodgy video card or mobo setting I'm missing? New to the GA series config but can't think what it could be.

Any thoughts much appreciated!

**Solved**

F7 BIOS apparently has problems with some newer PCIe cards. Solution as follows:
- Reflash BIOS to F9
- Remember to re-enable AHCI mode!
- Disable onboard GPU
- Install new video card
