As the title says it all, i have ram problem with motherboard GA-G41MT-S2P (rev. 1.3).
My system specs:
[Processor]
Intel Celeron E3300 @ 2.50 Ghz
[Bios]
Latest version available > F3
[Windows]
Windows 7, 64 Bits
[PSU]
RetailPlus 465W
[Graphic card]
Gigabyte GTX650 OC edition
[Actual RAM]
Kingston dual kit 4Go (2x2go) 1333 Mhz
[RAM to install]
Kingston dual kit 8go (2x4go) 1333 Mhz
[The problem]
When I install the new ram, my bios won't post at all and I got no display (black screen), then after a minute or less, the computer restart by itself and do it again until I remove these ram and reinstall the old one.
[Solution tried]
1. Reseated the cpu > No change
2. Cleared CMOS > No change
3. Removed bios battery for about an hour > No change
4. Removed graphic cards and driver, used the onboard graphic > No change
5. Messed with bios setting for ram timings to match the new one > No change
6. Tried the new RAM on my friend's computer to verify if it was the RAM module > Ram module are perfect
I don't know what to do. The system don't recognize my new ram module (they are the same as my old one, but instead of 2go module, it's 4go module). Tried to get help from gigabyte expert on their support page, no positive results.
Thank for your help.
