G41MT-USB3 BIOS

G41MT-USB3 BIOS
« on: May 16, 2014, 02:53:54 pm »
I have this model (G41MT-USB3) and I bought a SSD, but the BIOS F1 do not have the option ahci, so I wonder is a chance to update to F2, because @Bios finds me only F1 and no update. I asking because there is a model GA-G41MT-S2PT who is exactly as mine and has the F2 firmware bios.

Waiting for answers...

Don't update the bios. You can use the SSD the way it is. Yes you see improvement in the computer.

No, BIOS sees my SSD as IDE device and I cannot see any improvement. I cannot understand how a 2011 BIOS of a motherboard with only SATA port has only  ide and not ahci.

I install SSD into laptops and I see a big improvement. The only thing you can do is upgrade the MB & CPU.

Other than that you really can't do any thing with that board. It is just a basic board sorry.

I think you are right, maybe an upgrade would be fine
