USB power off GA-G31M-S2L
« on: June 04, 2014, 09:30:29 am »
I have HTPC build with this mobo and I wonder is it possible to turn off power on any (front or back) USB ports while HTPC is in hibernate mode? I need this because my wireless keyboard is constantly on and consumed battery within a week.

Might sound stupid but at a guess can you pull the wireless dongle out while not in use then plug it back in. I have the Z97 SOC and in my bios it actually lets me disable usb ports but then the ports are not available  at all until I re enable them thru bios.

Exactly as I do now, but it would be more user friendly if mobo had the option to  power off or on usb.
