Z170XP-SLI motherboard has no ram and keeps rebotting

I just built a gaming computer with

Z170xp-sli
GTX960 video card
600 watt corsair PSU
liquid cpu cooler - hydro
intel I5 6th generation

I have not received my DDR 4 memory yet.  I powered on the computer and it stays on for a few seconds, turns off and recycles.  There is no post.  Please tell me this is normal with this motherboard if there is no RAM installed

Put some RAM on that MB   ;D.  Let us know your results.
