I have a NEW FX 6300 chip I just bought and the 78LMT-USB3 (both new from Amazon). I'm replacing an older i3/MSI board I had that got hosed (so this is EXTRA frustrating!!). The install went fine, board cables hooked up with out issue, everything has power and spins up - however I am NOT getting any display what-so-ever. No bios/splash screen - no errors, nothing. I thought (and from reading the forums out there) it may need an updated (rev 5 mobo) to the bios version to recognize the AM3+ chip - but my question is -- if this is really the issue -- how do I go about doing that if I don't have any other processors to use? I thought it maybe would come up to the bios and just be "unknown" until the update was done, but I get NOTHING - the monitor(s) don't show any attempt at input. Have tried on board video (vga and dvi) removing all but 1 stick of RAM, removing the graphics card all together - no dice. PLEASE HELP as I think the ticket I opened with support may take a while to get back and I am without anything other than an 8 year old laptop.
