Gigabyte GA-970A DP3 BIOS Corruption after Hibernation
« on: July 27, 2014, 05:21:47 am »
So I just got a new PC for my birthday and I'm using the GA-970A DP3 MOBO and the AMD FX 6300 CPU. I had it setup yesterday, running fine and the first thing that happened was a BSOD after going fullscreen in Minecraft. The computer restarted and all was well. Fullscreen worked without fault. But this morning when I went to turn the PC back on, it wouldn't. It eventually came back on saying that the BIOS had been corrupted. So it used the backup BIOS to replace the corrupted one. Then, Windows starts to boot but then freezes, flashes a BSOD and then restarts itself. Windows Repair doesn't pickup any errors. I have tried updating the BIOS and updating Windows (which didn't work). I can't get onto my computer - each boot up is exactly the same. I've looked at other threads with similar problems but none of their fixes have been succesful. My full build is:

AMD FX 6300
GALAXY GTX 760 2GB
GSKILL RipJaws 2x4GB
2x WD Black 1.0TB HDD
Samsung 840 EVO 120GB SSD
GIGABYTE GA-970A DP3
ThermalTake Smart Power 550Watt

Please help me :(

Change the RAM and if it still does it RMA the mobo.
