Z97N-WIFI (F4) & EasyTune B14.0707.1 & some other things
« on: September 04, 2014, 01:19:31 pm »
Hello everyone!

OS is Windows 7x64 with all updates applied. I have 2 problems with app in the title.

1. In EasyTune (latest from GB website) the "Advanced CPU OC" is empty with no options to select. To make any changes I have to go to UEFI.
2. Other issue is how this thing looks like. Im not sure if this is a nearly blind people tool or touch friendly utility but it looks like I dont even have to use finger for that, forehead for 6 buttons on 27in screen is good enough. By the way, who the hell is using touch on desktops?.

Now my questions:
Is there a fully working EasyTune version for Z97N-WIFI? Is there a desktop version of GB utilities? Im a ASUS user and choosed Gigabyte product only because 2 LAN interfaces & 6 SATA onboard. So far Ive got 3 different UEFI interfaces & ugly windows utilities. At least the board is working without problems.

Regards
D.

Install one by one....EasyTune B14.0707.2... must reboot to work.

Edit:

Overclocking in bios working fine, also profiles in "Smart quick boost" works fine as well. There is a chance that software itself is not compatible with Pentium CPU yet, but there is no any information about it anywhere.

Ive tried uninstalling & installing it already, no success. Funny thing, if I install Easytune for X99 chipset all options are there, but everything is greyed out, so I would expect at least the same situation on z87/97 version - but there is nothing.

Ive found an answer for my Easytune question here:
http://www.anandtech.com/show/8276/z97-miniitx-review-at-140-asrock-z97e-itx-msi-z97i-ac-and-gigabyte-z97n-wifi/4
"Unfortunately, in the current version of EasyTune with the Z97N-WiFi, the Advanced tab shows no options. GIGABYTE is aware of this and should be pushing out an update to rectify the issue."

It's horrible that the information you need has to be found on another site.

For God's sake this is the OFFICIAL Gigabyte forum!
