GA-X58A-UD5 with 24GB Triple-Channel RAM (Ripjaws?)
« on: March 13, 2010, 12:02:06 am »
I am looking to buy the GA-X58A-UD5, but I do not see any posts about using 24GB of RAM in Triple-Channel mode.  I intend to use this setup for image processing, with an i7-920 cpu, OC'd if I have to ...

Any advice out there?  Any success? and with what sticks?  Based on advice from others, I was considering the G.SKILL Ripjaws 4GB sticks, 3 x F3-12800CL9D-8GBRL (2 x 4GB), but G.Skill does not have the mobo listed on their configurator yet, and Gigabyte has only Kingston 24GB [6 x KHX1600C9D3K3/12GX] listed on their memory compatibility matrix as of now.  Which is about $600 more expensive than the Ripjaws - ouch ouch.

Me confused.  Me need info.  I am pulling the trigger in about 2 weeks.
