GV-R928XOC-3GD (rev. 1.0) - Black Screen
« on: September 30, 2014, 03:26:15 pm »
Hi All

I am extremely frustrated at the moment.   I bought myself a brand new GV-R928XOC-3GD (rev. 1.0) about 10 months ago and since then, I have had issues. I have sent it back and the suppliers told me they found an ram issue, so they replaced the card with a brand new one. Thought would solve my issue, but only opened a bag of new ones.  The new card caused me to save up and buy a brand new Mobo and CPU.

The new one card  is causing my entire PC to black screen.  I have read forums coming out of my ears, and the best solution they said is this:
1. no need to update your bios
2. shutdown and plug-in your monitor to build in video interface (temporarily)
3. enter bios setup
4. configure 1st boot graphics to PCI
5. change the priority from UEFI to legacy save and exit.
6. shutdown and use the r9 280x's as your primary display then boot. it should work.

I have tried this, With windows 7 and windows 8, playing around with the different settings but to no avail.

Please please help me.  My system specs are as follows:

Intel i5-4690K 3.5 GHz BX80646I54690K Quad Core Unlocked 22nm Haswell (Devil's Canyon) Socket LGA1150 Desktop CPU
Gigabyte GA-Z97X-Gaming 3 Intel Z97 Chipset LGA1150 Haswell ATX Desktop Motherboard
8 Gig of GSKill 1866 Ram
120 SSD
1 Terabyte Seagate.
850 Watt PSU
