ud3h z87x mobo power switch blinking, nothing else happens
« on: November 04, 2014, 03:49:23 am »
Just came back from a 3 weeks vacation to find my pc not working.

Before leaving i turned off the psu and turned off my entire power bar supplying the juice. Upon my return, only the pw_sw light is blinking when psu is on. Did the paperclip trick to test my psu which worked fine.

Removed video card and memory to test as well without any succes. If I remember, something similar happened a while back and at the time  cmos reset by removing the battery did the trick. This time even with a few extendeded attempts no luck. Unfortunyely I cant test the mobo with  different setup to confirm thah mobo is the problem. What else can I try?

No one else has touched this pc in that time.

Weird I just did pretty much the same thing but it was with my Z97 SOC Force.  5 months old except I was gone for 3 days.  I switched out power supply with a 1000 watt I have as tester and then I switched out everything else.

Finally I took my board out and switched all the parts to my Gaming G1 and it works fine. I now have a RMA request into Gigabyte for the SOC Force.
My onboard power switch would blink 2 times then quit.  I to turned off power supply and then the power strip.
