GA 970A D3P motherboard issue

GA 970A D3P motherboard issue
« on: January 03, 2015, 10:54:23 pm »
My friends and I decided to upgrade from Xbox and Build PC's. I have finished building my PC but it does not work. Fans and all lights work but my computer does not POST when I power it on and it does not send any video out nor turn my keyboard or mouse on. Also the power button doesn't turn my computer off. I have a GA-970A-D3P Motherboard and an AMD 8320E CPU, I read online that the motherboard may need a BIOS update before using Vishera CPU's. Can anyone tell me if that is the problem or not and if so what the best way of fixing it is?

That CPU is supported with F3 which is first bios made. With keyboard and mouse not lighting up id check for bent pins.

There are bios updates but the way it sounds you cant even enter bios.

Thanks, I'll have to check for that. If I can't find anything I may just try getting a new Motherboard.

And I can't get any picture to show up either so there's no way for me to enter BIOS or post.
