a question regarding the Gigayte X99 SOC Force with the 5820k CPU installed:
I want to (temporarily) install three GT210 video cards and an Asus PCIe2x SSD, four PCIe cards at all. The SSD won't physically fit in the small PCIe slots so I have to use a large (orange) one. After trying out a lot it seems the only way it works is this layout
PCIE_1: GT210
PCIE_4: GT210
PCIE_2: SSD
PCIE_3: GT210
with all four PCIe microswitches turned on. Swapping one of the GT210's with the SSD renders one GT210 unfunctional.
Any idea why? I was hoping to get the GPUs in 8x/8x/8x mode but in this layout it's 8/8/4 or something (which is also documented in the manual).
