970 G1 Gaming Coil Whine

So my 970 has coil whine noise in some games and benchmarks. What can i do to get rid of it? Should i return the card and ask for a replacement? Does the warranty cover it? Thanks.

I had this problem and contacted the retailer (overclockers uk). I got a replacement card which is much quieter, but still has a little whine at really high fps.

This is unfortunately a characteristic of the GPU and I dont think there's a huge amount we can do. If it really bugs you and it pretty loud, get a RMA and you'll probably get a better one.

Mine had it when I first got the card but it's gone now - maybe it just needs use.
