Hi,
Might be a good idea to check with keyboard manufacturer for new drivers etc,.,
Does newer Bios provide you with anything in particular?
Does it freeze when plugged in after booting?
Cheers

already looked at that option but no drivers installed on boot so no effect.

Found something on there webby about turning down the usb speed something to do with mobo cant handle it, cant do that on a UD5 though

Hi,
After installing new Bios have you reset /cleared cmos to default settings,

Ensure your "USB Legacy support" or "USB Emulation" settings in your BIOS are set to "Enabled" or "On"

Are you connecting direct to the motherboard usb port?,

Drivers available here 32 or 64 bit
http://www.steelseries.com/download

Have you tried to Uninstall and reinstall the ZEngine™ software (with the device plugged in prior to installation?,

Have you tried to boot with std ps2 k/board, then insert usb on stealth k/board?
Is it  then recognised by O/S device manager?,

Cheers

I am having almost the exact same problem after updating from F4 to F12 BIOS, in that my Logitech USB wireless mouse reciever is causing my bios to not post, then after 10 sec or so it will restart.  If i disconnect the reciever windows boots normaly and once on, I can plug it back in and it works fine (other usb devices are plugged in and still work fine inc.  Merc Stealth keyboard ).

any help in resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated.
