Gigabyte 990-FXA UD3 Rev 4.0. RAM Issues. Help Please
« on: March 04, 2015, 09:41:55 am »
Hello. I got new motherboard Gigabyte 990-FXA UD3 and new CPU AMD FX 8320 BE. Well i have 4x2GB RAM Corsair Dominator CL8 1600 MHz DDR3. When i set my ram to 1600mhz with 1.65V and the right timings 8-8-8-24, i got a boot failure.

Also i installed Windows 7 x64 and 8.1 x64 and my pc shows that i have 8GB RAM(3.96 Usable) And in cpu z ram shows that runs in Single Channel mode.

I tried already and placed the sticks to the same color in the slots. I tried to placed only the 2 ram dimms and again the same.

I tried another RAM Kingston Hyper X Genesis 2x4GB 1866 MHz DDR3 in the same color slots and again i got 8GB(3.96 Usable) and single channel mode in cpu z.

Any idea please? Do you think is problem of the motherboard or the cpu? Both are new and inside warranty but i can't know which one is the faulty? Please help me. Do i have to do a specific settings in bios? I tried the bios F3i Beta and F2 too but still the same.

However even if the RAM that i tried sets to 1333MHz, i still got a single channel mode and 3.96 Usable of 8GB
