OC_GURU2 fails to launch with GTX 970 G1
« on: May 31, 2015, 06:51:44 pm »
I just purchased a new Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 card.  I installed the OC_GURU2 that came bundled with the card and found that it (OC_GURU2) would not work.  I have since found that there's a newer version on Gigabyte's website (v1.82).  So, I downloaded that and installed it.  OC_GURU2 will still not run.  My system is running Windows 8.1 with all the latest patches.  I've also installed the latest Nvidia graphics drivers (v352.86 as of now).  I upgraded from an AMD HD Radeon 7950 card.  All the drivers for that card were uninstalled before the Nvidia one's were installed.

When I run OC_GURU2, I get prompted for permission to run it (which I would expect).  I allow it to run and nothing happens.  In the Event log, I found an error and a Windows Error Report linked to the error.  Here they are:

I've not had any problems with any of my other software or games.  It just seems to be with OC_GURU2.  Anybody know how to make the software run?  Maybe it was designed to work along with an older Nvidia display driver?

Thanks!
