Hello gigabyters.
Prepare to hear something rather cringy.
I've owned a gtx 970 from Gigabyte for a couple of months now and I noticed that one of the 3 fans was making a whining sound even at a low and constant 50% rpm using msi afterburner. I decided to deal with this by removing it after identifying which one was the culprit.
And I lost it. Nowhere to be found.
Not only is the gpu at least 42 degrees C at idle, I am unconfident that my card will remain cool with only 2 fans. I am pretty sure I voided my card's warranty, which is not good at all. Mind you, I did take it apart to clean the heat sink and apply better thermal paste.
I've been searching everywhere for a good cooling fan but some have incorrect hole-to-hole sizes, poor looking blades, etc. And no, I am not assuming there will be a perfect fan but I would like 3 fans to function and cool my card. I've given up on the search, so I've come here to ask for help.
Any replacement fan suggestions? Thanks a lot!
