Back to default after failed BIOS settings? Z97X Gaming 3

Hello,

Can anyone tell me if there is way to revert to stock CPU settings after you make a BIOS change that the PC doesn't like?

On my ASRock board, with all the other components identical (yay lightning) if I input something like too low a voltage and the PC wouldn't boot, it would default to stock settings after one failed boot so I could make more changes.

On this board it keeps trying to boot with the bad settings and I have to pull the case cover and bios battery to try again...not exactly ideal.

On the prior board I had it setup with my i5 4670k 1.25v @ 4.4ghz.  This one can't even seem to boot below 1.3v.

I also tried using AutoTune and it gave me 4.6ghz at 1.54v O_o

To be clear this is the SAME processor (the same unit).

Thanks all!

The Gaming 3 only has a Clear CMOS jumper. You can disconnect the power and place a flat blade screwdriver across the pins for a few seconds to clear the CMOS.

The more expensive Gaming 7 model has a Clear CMOS button in addition to the Clear CMOS jumper.
