The answer to your question is yes. Check out page 15 & 16 of the fine manual. All headers are 4 pin. Pin 1 is always on the left. 3 pin speed control equipped fans can be connected to any of the headers starting from the left. Pin 2 on all system fan headers is 12+/speed control. The exception is the CPU_FAN header, pin 3 is fan speed, pin 4 is speed control. If you want greatest flexibility, 4 pin fans equipped with speed control are recommended.
