j1900n-d3v wifi card
« on: July 18, 2015, 10:13:12 am »
Just bought a  j1900n-d3v which has a mini pci/e slot on it, to which I am wanting to add a wifi card. I already had a spare one, now while it does fit the slot there isn't enough room for the card as it hangs over the edge of the motherboard, there is nothing to latch it in place, hence it sticks up and a 30degree angle, and worst of all there are no power takes off to plug into the header on the card. Baring all this in mind I assume that I have the wrong type of card, but the pci/e slot get nothing more than a cursory mention in the instruction booklet (why are these things always so bad, you'd have thought that the big far Eastern companies could afford decent technical translators by now, especially for something as involved as the BIOS settings), anyhoo I have searched on-line but can't find anything to help, so what wifi card will work on the  j1900n-d3v in the pce/e slot?

Just doing a bit more research and what I thought were power take off headers on the top of the card are for the antenna, so that would explain that, but still does anyone know which halt mini pci/e wifi card is compatible with the  j1900n-d3v?
