Can I be Clarified about logistic and supply chain management of motherboards

Can I be CLARIFIED if a simple SINGLE PART inventory check would take 1 month? is this how support and service would be like at a world reputed motherboard manufacturer to look for inventory of 1 single mother board type?

This is VERY unsettling that one single service/fix would take this long simply because of ever going inventory check?
