GA-Z170X Gaming GT sending too much VCORE
« on: November 06, 2015, 09:44:00 pm »
While playing any kind of games like CRYSIS 3 or Armored Warfare, motherboard is supplying too much VCORE voltage to the CPU and Core Voltage reaches as high as 1.41v according to CPU-Z or Intel Extreme Tuning Utility. My idle Temps are 35oc and while playing games Temp reach as high as 65c.

I am running latest F4 BIOS with Stock settings ( no OC or XMP )

How do I reduce or offset (-) voltage from BIOS? Any input on Voltage and temperatures would be great.

Note: While sitting idle on windows vCore drops to 0.762

Here is my setup
CPU: Intel 6770k
MB:  Gigabyte GA-Z170X Gaming GT
Cooler: Noctua Nh-D14
VGA: MSI Geforce 680 Lightening
PSU: EVGA Super Nova 1000 P2
HHD: Corsair Force GT SSD

One thing to try is disable turbo in the bios. I look at the cooler and make sure you don't have to much paste.
