GA-990FXA-UD3 R5 bios issue
« on: November 20, 2015, 09:19:02 am »
When i manually change the Vcore and boot into windows cool n quiet will no longer work. The CPU Vcore frequency just stays at what i set in the bios and will not throttle down when idle. but when the Vcore is set to the default setting (auto) and will work.

This is kind of annoying as i still want the CPU to throttle down when idle. I never had this issue on my old 990FXA-UD5 rev1 board.

Sounds plausible to me - either auto or manual (means fixed frequency) hence no auto hence no CnQ

you see it with cpuz?
cool n quiet does not work like that, your vcore manual or auto has nothing to do with coold and quiet.
maybe its cpuz bug or something.
Revert your bios settings first, them test. I bet that you disable something there.
