I'm currently using an Asus M5A78L-M LX V2 motherboard which has a an FX 6300 (not overclocked) processor with a stock cooler keeping it cool. The bracket for this aligns perfectly my current motherboard (Asus). The ARCTIC Freezer Xtreme Rev. 2's bracket does not align with the Asus motherboard holes, which I found out when testing it with the 6300 but failed due to the Xtreme cooler's bracket not aligning to the holes on my current board. I will also be using this cooler on an unclocked FX-9590 and I doubt I'll be overclocking.
I'm looking into buying a Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 AM3+ AMD 990FXA + so I don't want this bracket problem I'm having with the Asus motherboard and the Arctic Freezer to happen with the Gigabyte motherboard I want as stated above. Will the bracket that comes with the Arctic Freezer align with the holes on the GA-900FXA?
Addition info: I'm currently using 2X 8GB Vengeance RAM sticks at 1600Mhz, an overcooked GTX 760 and a 650w power supply.
Thanks you for any help. I'm looking to buy this as soon as a I find out its compatibility so the faster the reply, the blessed I'd be
