Voltage and Memory

I have this board and memory.

Motherboard - MA790GPT-UD3H
Ram G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-4GBNQ - Retail

I had to RMA my ram today,Hopefully I'll get functional ram the second time around.I have been reading the manual for this motherboard. It's a good manual, but still leaves alot of questions unanswered.

I want to overclock, but I'll wait a couple months.I do have a couple of questions concerning memory and voltage. The memory I have is rated at 1.5 volts.looking in the bios under pc health status I noticed under DDR3 that the system is supplying 1.6 volts to the memory. Will this hurt my ram,or make it run hot?Could this be why my ram went bad? I really don't want to mess around with any voltage settings until I have a stable system, and gain more knowledge.
