motherboard ga-970a-ud3p rev 2.0 RAM problem

Hi. For some reason i can't run two sticks of memory (2 x 4 Gb hyperx fury 1600 Mhz CL10) with this motherboard either in single channel or dual channel because i'm getting randomly system freezes or restarts, no BSODs, no minidumps. The system may run fine for hours but that always happens. However, with one stick of RAM, these issues disappear.

I'm not doing any overclock. I have a FX 6300 processor running at stock clock (turbo core is disabled). I also tested the RAMs with memtest86 for hours, no errors were found. It's not a temperature problem because i stressed the CPU with AIDA64 and the max temp achieved was 55° C (i live in a hot area, right now the ambient temperature is around 30° C so it's acceptable). 

I can can solve this issue changing system memory multiplier in bios to 6,66, setting RAM speed to 1333 Mhz, but with this motherboard it should run stable at 1600 Mhz.

Any sugestions?

AMD boards are a little different then a Intel. You might have to set the memory speed and timings manually.

I tried setting manually these timings for both channels A and B: 10-10-10-30. Also, changed system memory multiplier to 8x. It didn't work.

update: i decided to run memtest again with one memory module. choosing the options round Robin (all cpus) and sequential (all cpus) in cpu selection when i start the test the system freezes in test #2 [test adress, own adress]. it happens everytime.

I noticed that in M.I.T. options in BIOS is showing tRFC = 44. According to this http://www.kingston.com/dataSheets/HX316C10FR_4.pdf it should be 260, if i'm correct. could this be the problem?

HX316C10FR/4 is a single. Rated Specifications are for a single module. Combining singles is not recommended unless you prefer to do your own compatibility testing. Doing your own compatibility testing may be an uneconomical undertaking as it involves trial and error.

ok, i understand. thanks for information, i didn't know that. I wrote in my first post that using only one stick the issues disappear but suddenly the problem appeared again, even using one. I tried each stick separately, both had the same error (make the system freeze or restart with no BSOD) and all passed memtest86 test. Either using one or two sticks tRFC remains the same (44) in channel A and B. Right now i'm testing this RAM: KVR1333D3N9/4G, and tRFC shows the correct value (160) acording to this: http://www.kingston.com/dataSheets/KVR1333D3N9_4GKC.pdf. It has passed five days since i installed it and till now no problems.

I couldn't find the right topic, but is there any gigabyte mb that supports amd apu, specially the A10 series?

fm2 series for apu. Not 9xx chipset.
