GA-F2A88XN-WIFI: AMD-V (vitrualization) problem
« on: April 12, 2016, 01:59:24 pm »
In motherboard’s BIOS, hardware virtualization is enabled by default (SVM Mode). Despite this, all computer programs I used (Microsoft’s Hardware-Assisted Virtualization Detection Tool and HWiNFO64) to check virtualization state showed that my hardware supports hardware-assisted virtualization, but it is disabled.

What should I do to enable it, for I need to use VirtualBox?

My hardware specs:
1) CPU – AMD A10-6700T APU;
2) MB – Gigabyte GA-F2A88XN-WIFI;
3) RAM – 8Gb (4+4 kit) Crucial 1866MHz, 9-9-9-27, 1.5V;
4) SSD – 256Gb Crucial M550.

OS – MS Windows 7 x64 SP1

It turned out it was a motherboard factory defect :(

It's not so simple as I thought with virtualization. It looks like Avast Free Antivirus blocks virtualization, because before installing of the antivirus "havdetectiontool", "AMD-V_Hyper-V_Compatibility_Check_Utility_V2" displayed that my cpu supports hardware virtualization and it's enabled. After installation of the antivirus they said that cpu supports hardware virtualization, but it's not enabled.

Switched to Avira and everything's OK now
