Finding Info on my Mobo GA-78LMT-USB3

New here so still finding my way around.

I am looking for info as to why I can't boot after installing an old IDE drive to retrieve data to put on new SSD.  If I remove the IDE drive it boots okay and runs fine.  I have tried all combinations in BIOS setup but not sure what I am doing.  Below is info copied from Belarc Adviser about my board.  If more needed let me know...

do I need to flash the bios or best left alone?

I use this machine for photography and watching good ole aunty BBC (expat Brit now living in Florida)

Hi Mr Edd,

With old IDE drives you need to make sure that it is set as a master drive if it is the only device added to the IDE port. Have you checked the jumper settings on the back of the Hard drive to ensure that it is set as master and not slave?
