well after some hell i finally found the issue. when i was snapping the ram in it looked flush and everything on the sides and i heard the snap. but i took them out and really pressed hard on each side of the ram and tried to apply as even pressure as possible on the ram stick until i heard the snap, seemed as firm as before but for some reason it f***ing posted! writing this from the computer right now. thanks for the help guys but it was that simple i guess ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
