GA-EP45-DS4 Motherboard

I'm brand new to this forum so I'm not completely sure if I'm posting this in the right section...but here goes!

Whilst working on my computer a few weeks back my computer randomly stopped working, I tried turning it on again but it would power up.  So I replaced the power supply and its still not working...so it turns out that its my motherboard.

I just have a few questions I hope somebody could help me with.

Would I still be covered under warranty?

If so how would I go around contacting Gigabyte about a possible repair or replacement?

And finally how long on average does it take from the sending of the parcel to receiving the repaired part typically?

I tried having a look for this information but I wasn't completely sure, so I was hoping somebody here might be able to lead me in the right direction.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

If you are in the UK and your board is less than 12 months old your first port of call should be the shop (this includes on-line retailers) that you purchased it from.

If it is older than that or you bought it from a private seller then you will need to RMA it to Gigabyte (I believe there is a £10 fee for this + You will have to pay postal charges) for more details and to get an RMA number you should send an e-mail here: returns@gbt-tech.co.uk

This thread might also help. http://forum.giga-byte.co.uk/index.php/topic,85.msg369.html#msg369

I have not got first hand experience as to the speed of returns where boards are RMA'd but, from what I have read in various posts, it is usually pretty quick. Check this thread: http://forum.giga-byte.co.uk/index.php/topic,1222.0.html for one example

Hope this helps and ATB
