X99-ud4 RAID question

X99-ud4 RAID question
« on: October 13, 2016, 03:26:47 am »
When using the intel RAID 5 can I raid 3 drives and still use the other 3 Sata ports with individual drives or if I set it to raid do I lose all 6 Sata ports to the raid function regardless of how many drives I raid?

Thanks

Yes you can it will be all Raid too. Raid and AHCI are about the same. I have my 2 SSD in a array and have four other single drives running at the same time. As far as I know you can run Raid 0 & Raid 3 at the same time too.
