GA-790FXTA UD5 DDR3 RAM Problem
« on: November 25, 2016, 11:46:56 pm »
hi there,

yes, the Mobo still runs very well, until i put a fresh new set of DDR3-1600 (CL6-6-6-15) Kingston 4x4GB inside.
The Board only runs with 400Mhz.
Board has the newest F3j Firmware.
CPU: AMD Phenom II X6 1090T@4Ghz.
At Startup Bootsequence it shows DDR3 800 unganged.
Under Windows10 Pro x64 CPU-Z shows only 400Mhz.
I edited the BIOS several times. But with no success...(Higher Ram Clocks, ganged-unganged, more or less voltage)
And everytime i like to go over 400Mhz in Bios, an Error message appears. I have attached in here below.
Any hint for me?
p.s. i had before 8GB Corsair DDR3 1600 Dominators Kits 2x2Gb + 2x2GB, which runned fine at 800Mhz (CL8-8-8-24).
Now i like to go for 16GB.
Please help.
Thanxx, cheers

DDR3-1600 (CL6-6-6-15) Kingston 4x4GB

I am not aware that Kingston makes such a product. Perhaps you can enlighten me as to the part number or link to where you got it at. I am referring to a Cas Latency 6 product.

Phenom II X6 1090T has been around since 2010 and DDR3-1600MHz memory has been commonly used with that CPU.
1) GA-Z97X-Gaming 7, G3258,
2) GA-990FXA-UD3 Rev. 1.1, FX-8350
3) GA-AM1M-S2P, Sempron 3850 Kabini

Hi Tiger,
maybe i got frauded via eBay (231921351081). I bought them from an Hong Kong Dealer... >:(  Well, he didnt sold them as "Kingston".
I only saw that in CPU-Z and AIDA...
But, anyway, do you see that there will be an solution to get those things runned one day?
I have uploaded all related fotos in 2 Galleries.

One from "Kingston" Crap               http://www.abload.de/gallery.php?key=uobOmNFn
and the other from my former Rig   http://www.abload.de/gallery.php?key=slKu9s0E    as an comparison

password: Gigabyte

I cant get above 4x Memory Clock Speed, if i do, i always get the annoying BIOS Message at the Booting, you can see that BIOS Message in the Kingston Gallery.

If i choose 4x then i have also to downgrade the Clock from my AMD Phenom II X6 1090T from overclocked 4GHz down to Standard 3.2GHz to get my system started. But then, the system with 400MHz Memory Speed feels like an slow VW Beetle ;-)

Currently i am writing with this HK Dude, we will see what happens...
in the meantime i have ordered a Pair of Genuine Real Authentic 8GB Corsair Vengeance black DDR3-1866 DIMM CL9 Dual Kit CMZ8GX3M2A1866C9. But that will takes a while.

I like to get to run the wrong labeled "Kingston" Copies for now, a little faster than actual...
hope this is possible.
Thanks

Cheers,
