Gigabyte GA-H61MA-D3V problem after uptade BIOS
« on: November 28, 2016, 09:09:31 am »
Hi guys,

I am trying to repair a computer with the motherboard Gigabyte GA-H61MA-D3V .

It has some troubles with the Graphic Card and I had to change it because it was not able to work with the BIOS version (F4).

Once I updated it (to F7c), it finally worked with the new Graphic Card (NVIDIA GEFORCE GT 610) but, once I power Off the computer, it starts again after few seconds.

I tried to downgrade the BIOS version (from F7c to F6 and from F6 to F5) but the problem remained.

If I unplug the computer, It doesn't start but, If I do it from SO software (Windows or Ubuntu) it turns to the main problem of auto-start.

Any idea of what should I do to fix this issue?

Have you clear the cmos or pull the battery at any time after you did any updates? Plus make sure you have it unplug too when doing it. Then set it to the default settings.

Hi dmdilks,

I did it all times I updated/downgraded the BIOS.

Could it be something about SO? I am a bit lost in this issues to be honest.

You can look through this thread. Don't if any thing will help. It is very hard to find any thing out there on this.

Thank you very much for your help I will try to fix it and, if I can do it, I will post how I did it for upcoming users.
