Z170-HD3P F20 idle clocks 900mhz
« on: December 11, 2016, 01:02:42 pm »
Hello,

Recently updated my bios to f20 and everything is nice, especially manual fan control. But with EIST on my idle clocks wont go to 800mhz as usually with 6600K. Now they are 900mhz.

I read this Forum that someone else had the same issue.

Is it hard to roll back bios which should not be rolled back, if I want to do that?

Downgraded bios to F5 and now problem solved. I advice don't upgrade BIOS to F20 if you don't really need to!

You can advice them but people think because you have new drivers or bios you have to do it. I have heard people say I like to keep everything up to date. Why if you are not having any problems. I have a saying  "If it isn't broke don't fix it"
