MA790X-UD4 stops at verifying dmi pool data

MA790X-UD4 stops at verifying dmi pool data
« on: March 13, 2009, 10:59:28 am »
I built the system 3 days ago, everything went well, no problems during
assembly, it booted right up and I installed the OS. The next day I
installed various software programs, went online, all was working well. Then
it wouldn't load Windows after I hit "restart", and I can't
figure out what the problem is. I get this message:
'Verifying DMI Pool Data............
"WARNING: EES is turned off !! Please use EES application to turn it on
again. Press any key to continue'"

Also, when I hit F12 to go into boot screen the computer
freezes up and I have to use the power button to turn off the pc.

Nothing happens when I press a key. I cleared CMOS, loaded fail-safe
defaults in BIOS, that didn't help. I took out the RAM and reinstalled it as
per Gigabyte tech support suggestion, it didn't help. The same error
message appears without any drives attached, after I disconnected the hard
drive and dvd drive.

Try resetting the BIOS to defaults and also reset the CMOS (Using jumper or removing the battery on the motherboard for a good few minutes should do it) then post back with results.

Hope this helps.

Also, do you mean DES? It stands for Dynamic Energy Saver. When it asks you to press any key, do that and try to boot into windows. Then, make sure all your drivers for the motherboard are installed that you need and load up the Dynamic Energy Saver Programme which should be on the CD. Then there shouls be a large oval button which turns it on. Try this first :P before last post.

Nothing happens when I press any key.

I tried that, it didn't help.  I sent the board back to newegg.com.

I found someone else with the same problem:
