GA-Z170x-Ultra Gaming Restarts

Hello,

Trying to help someone figure out why his new GA-Z170X Rev 1:0 beeps 5 times and restarts continuously. 

We'd be grateful to anyone who can offer some advice.  I've read a few different reasons as to why the mb would beep 5 times but it seems to depend on BIOS and we have no clue what BIOS version it is as we can't get an image to display.

Hello again,

I was able to stop the beeping and resetting by using only one stick (instead of 2) of 8gb Gskill Ripjaws V DDR4-2400 Ram in slot 3 or 4 (still beeps in slots 1 or 2) but there is still no image going to screen.

Suggestions?

If fast boot or ultra fast boot is enabled, Disable it and put the other stick of ram back in.
