Voltage Question
« on: May 04, 2010, 05:02:03 am »
I have been running my system for a month and everything seems stable.Idle temps range from 29 to 32 celsius.Load ranges from 42 to 49 celsius.I know this chip has C3 stepping, and can run at 1.3 volts.I started to mess around with amd overdrive, and noticed all my cores are running at 1.4 volts.I want to overclock from 3.2 to 3.6GHz.Nothing major, but I wonder about voltage.Should I lower my voltage in the bios.I have it set on auto, but that seems high.I heard that you can adjust the multiplier without changing voltage settings for these chips.I have alot to learn,so I have been reading some oc-ing guides.Raising the multiplier sounds alot less of a hassle in my case, with a smaller oc.Does that sound correct?
