1080ti FE has 2x8pin connectors, my power supply only has 1x6 and 1x6+2

Hi
had a search through the forum but cant really find the answer
I have the following
1080ti FE has 2x8pin connectors, my power supply only has 1x6 and 1x6+2
I've read that this will still work and not cause any issues
Is this correct or do I need to get a new power supply , will I need to plug in a certain way (which the 1X6+2 and the 1x6 go into)
Cheers
