H81M-D3H - Kingston Memories doesn't work on slots 3 and 4
« on: June 21, 2017, 04:49:25 am »
I have a H81M-D3H with 2x4Gb Kingston 10600 and bought another two modules but it doesn't work at all...
When i put any module on any black slot PC don't boot and just beep continuously until reboot.
I tried all combinations!
According compatibility sheet looks like only APACER, Corsair and Panram modules Works on that slots... Is that right?
If yes, i never heard nothing so stupid...

Buying memory listed on the QVL doesn't guarantee compatibility, but it does increase the odds for success.  Its just a helpful guide.  You can try manual settings, or a different BIOS rev which may or may not help.

The thing is look at the book page 10. It is tell you that if you use all 4 slot they have to be all SS memory. If you trying to use DS memory in all the slots it might not work by the book. You can try to use all SS memory in all the slots or get two sticks of 8gb.

I tried manual settings and didn't work. Updated BIOS to the last version with no success too.

What are the memory sticks that you are using SS memory or DS memory?

Hey guys...  Also note that memory performance is limited to DDR3 1066 with 4 sticks of SS DDR4 ram is used, so using 2 sticks will yield best performance according to the QVL.  Just throwing it out there.
