Z97 Gaming - Realtek Audio Manager bug

Z97 Gaming - Realtek Audio Manager bug
« on: July 04, 2017, 06:09:52 pm »
I have tried to use the Realtek Audio Manager for setting up various equalizing profiles with the A-B-C-D profile, but when changing to a profile, only the volume is changed - not the equalizer setting!
To change the selected equalizer setting, the equalizer setting has to be altered.
How on earth can this be going on several versions :o

So your EQ presets option isn't working?

Nope.
When changing profile, the equalizer bars change, but the sound doesn't - just wondering how this can going on for several versions!

Just checked, mine are working.  RealTek ALC1150 chipset.  Not sure of the driver version I'm using.  Try using a different output device, headphones for example to test.

Are you sure!
Try to set the equalizer for profile B to an extreme setting, and then change between profile A and B.
Changing a single band will revert the heard sound to the saved profile setting.
Be aware the volume will change, which can make it difficult to hear for minor refinement of the equalizer.

Hi,
Yes, confirmed.  I manually set different sound curves (extreme) emphasizing bass, mids and treble..  A, B, C, then made D "flat".  I get the expected changes when I toggle through them in both volume and frequency response depending on what I've set.
