I did make poor quality photos. I'll post better and resized pitures later. For now, you can download the images to fully see them.

an 586 motherboard? sheesh. Guess no point in doing my pics.

The last time I used this board, it was working, so I felt that there is no reason it wouldn't POST this time.... and it did pass POST (PowerOnSelfTest), but since I didn't have any CPU cooling at the moment, had a poor quality video card and no hard drive, this is the only thing I can show as proof so far.

It works!!!!  ;D ;D ;D

Can you tell me the manufacturing date based on the SN?

29th Nov 1996 according to that bios screen.

I think he's won this one. Gratz.

Daaaaamn that's old - we did find an old motherboard - the cartidge type processers but turned out not to be gigabyte and it then swiftly got hit with a baseball bat..... so it doesn't work anymore lol

Hi All

it's time to announce the winner.......
the oldest motherboard was shown by chupo!
Our best congrats!

his GA-586-DX was manufactured in September of 1996 (39-th week of 1996, as it's SN starts with SN9639...) so it's nearly 13 years old and it's still working!

ZX-S & C64 are still my favourites ;-)

Congrats to chupo and well deserved, that GA-586-DX definitely takes some beating.

Personally, I had a Skt 370 GA-6PMM, about 8.5 yrs old, so I thought I had a chance, but when chupo sent in his pics, that was the end of that.
